NFL Bound Utah DE Jonah Elliss Commits to East-West Shrine Bowl
USA TODAY Sports

The East-West Shrine Bowl confirmed that Jonah Elliss had officially accepted his invitation to play in the game via a post on X.

The Utah DE had a breakout season in 2023 recording 37 total tackles, 3 passes defended, 12 sacks, and 1 forced fumble, and was a big factor for the Utes stellar defensive unit.

As a result of his play, he is currently projected to be picked in the 60-69 range in the 2024 NFL Draft after forgoing his senior season with his draft stock bound to rise once more with a solid performance in the Shrine Bowl.

Utah's presence at the Shrine Bowl has been felt more than most programs in recent days as Utes Legend Steve Smith Sr. was just announced as the latest member of the East-West Shrine Bowl Hall of Fame.

Elliss will be looking to put forth a HOF-worthy performance of his own as not only will it affect his draft stock, but a lot of the coaches participating are NFL assistant or positional coaches who will surely be looking at the Utes star intently with the draft inching closer.
