For the first time in school history, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are ACC Tournament Champions, defeating North Carolina 57-54. Georgia Tech trailed with 1:16 on the clock, but a John Salley and-1 put the Yellow Jackets ahead by one. Mark Price hit four free throws to secure the win. Price finished the game with 16 points, three assists, and three steals, on his way to being named Tournament MVP. Salley had 14 points, four rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Brad Dougherty and Kenny Smith each scored 16 points for UNC.
