Bayer Leverkusen rival Inter Milan for Real Madrid captain Nacho

Bayer Leverkusen are eyeing Real Madrid captain Nacho Fernandez.

The Spaniard, off contract in June, has been linked with Inter Milan - but now there is competition from the Bundesliga.

Bayer Leverkusen are showing interest in Nacho ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Cadena COPE.

The new German champions are back in the Champions League next season - and coach Xabi Alonso has identified the centre-back as a potential reinforcement.

It has also previously been reported that Rafa Marn, who is being pointed out as a potential replacement for Nacho at Real Madrid, is on the radar of Bayer Leverkusen.

The centre-back is currently on loan from Real Madrid at Deportivo Alavs.
